Chapter Five: The Diner

"Ok I'll have today's special," Annabelle said smiling at the waitress. "Sure miss, and what would you like this evening sir?" "I'll have the potatoe soup," Andy answered. "Oh, do you have WiFi here? We're trying to find a town but we have no idea where it is," Annabelle spoke to the waitress. "You should try the hotel down the raod. I'm sure they have computers that you can use," the waitress smiled as she talked. The waitress made one swift sweep as she turned toward the kitchen. "Why did you even ask about WiFi? I thought you didn't have a laptop," Andy leaned over the table as he whispered to Annabelle."I do have a laptop. I got one from my dad. He ended up getting a new one so he gave his old one to me," Annabelle said with a hint of pride. "But wait. You're dad's laptop doesn't have WiFi on it," Andy said feeling confused. "I traded i that old piece of hardware for a new one," Annabelle said with a smile. When there food had arrived they ate and continued to chat. When they had finished eating they went out to find the hotel.

Chapter Four: On The Road

Annabelle and Andy had been in the mustang for three hours. Andy was constantly asking Annabelle which way she wanted to go. "Let's turn on the radio," Annabelle suggested. 'And our first caller is Matthew from Polebridge, Matthew what is your answer?' Just then Annabelle had an idea. "I got it! Polebridge," Annabelle almost screamed. "Polebridge? Really Ann you want to go to Polebridge?" Andy inquired. "Yes I want to go to Polebridge" "Do you know where that is? Cause I sure don't," Andy stated in a confused state. Annabelle saw a exit sign that showed what was in that area. "Get off this exit. We might be able to find out where Polebridge is," Annabelle said with a hint of exhaustion in her speech. As they got off the exit, Andy saw a small cafe at the side of the road. He pulled in and gestured to Annabelle to go in with him. She knew at this very moment that life will get better as their bond grew tighter. He thought different. He was certain that they were in the eye of the storm of this situation. And so ends peaceful time for these two. They will soon make a huge mistake that will change their lifes forever.

Chapter Three: The Talk

'Ok," the nurse looks down at his clipboard, "Annabelle. Your brother is here to pick you up." Annabelle thought deeply then smiled. She knew that it was Andy to pick her up since she had no brother. "Here is your duffle and the bathroom is in the right corner of your room incase you forgot," the nurse looked embarrassed. He knew that no one ever forgets where the bathroom is when it is in that persons own room. "Thanks," Annabelle said with a soft smile. She quickly changed her clothes and did her hair. She looked in the mirror and smiled feeling satisfied with her look. Annabelle walked out of her room and looked for directions to get out of this place. All of a sudden, someone cover her eyes with their hands. She dropped her duffle and turned around. She saw eyes that were as green the leaves in the forest when the sun hits them just right. "We really need to talk about what we are going to do," was the first thing out of Andy's mouth. "What no 'Hey Ann'?" Annabelle was shocked by his seriousness. "Let's not talk in here. There are cameras and people and police and who knows what else," Annabelle grabbed Andy's hand to get him to his car. Andy let out a small chuckle. "Ann, it's this way to Bertha." Bertha is the name of Andy's mustang. As they left, the secretary thanked them and told them to come back soon. Annabelle tried not to laugh. As the two got in the car, Andy said, " I sure hope people don't have to go back to the hospital soon. That's just weird." Therevwas a brief silence then Andy spoke again, "So where do you want to go? I'll go anywhere really!" "I wasn't really planning to go anywhere. I just want to go to a new life." Annabelle's voice started to shake. Andy started the engine and began to drive.

Chapter Two: The Hospital

Annabelle woke up. She was surrounded by doctors and nurses all looking at her charts. She sat up in her bed and asked what happened to her. The head doctor walked toward her and told her that a no one knew and that all of the doctors were trying to figure it out. Annabelle asked when she could leave and one of the nurses replied that she could leave after they contact her parents or after twenty-four hours. She heard a cell phone ring. Annabelle thought that was weird because it sounded just like her cell phone ring tone for Andy. Another nurse smiled as she pointed out Annabelle's phone to her. Annabelle nodded with graditude. She answered to phone to find Andy in the heat of panic ansking questions about where Annabelle was. Annabelle told Andy to calm down and that she was at the hospital. Annabelle was so relieved to hear his voice that she could barely pay attention to what he was saying. She jumped when she heard Andy yell about where he could find her. She told him to hold on and she quickly asked a nurse what hospital she was at. When she told Andy where she was he freaked out and told her that she was out of state. This seemed impossible to Annabelle because she thought she only drove for half an hour. Andy told her that he was going to get to the hospital and take her home. Annabelle quickly replied that she didn't want to go home. "Well where are you going?" Andy inquired. "I don't know. I just don't want to go back." Annabelle said with a sad look in her eyes. "Ann, I'll go with you anywhere you need me to," Andy said, wondering what Annabelle was thinking about going. Annabelle whispered a thanks and hung up the phone.

Chapter One: The Drive

Annabelle walked down the stairs wondering where life would take her. Her blue eyes twinkled as the sun touched her face. Summer had just begun and Annabelle was relieved that her sophomore year of high school was over. She grabbed her duffle bag and headed to the white, 1999 Buick. She was tired of her standard life. Annabelle just drove as far as she could from where she had been. Her memories kept running through her head of the argument between her family. She was sheading tears as she drove, looking in the rearview mirror. She was waiting for a red Mustang to be behind her. Andy owned that car that she loved so. They would drive to the park and take long walks through the woods. The memories Annabelle cherished mainly happened there. Her phone rang. It was Andy trying to figure out what happened to her. As she pressed the deny button, everything went black.
